I am a software and systems engineer at MIH Internet Africa.  My work involves engineering search engine clusters, algorithms and services in Python, and various Linux services.  For example I have built clusters using FAST ESP and Apache Solr from the ground up including data modelling and relevance tuning, developed a general framework called PyDedupe for linking similar records in and between tables, and set up Splunk to analyse all the company data.
